FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to common merchant workflows.
How do I convert a request into an order?
Open Quotes, select the request and check the buyer and products. Approve it, create a Shopify draft, then review the final tax, shipping and total in Shopify. An invoice is only sent after a separate confirmation.
Will QuoteForth send emails automatically?
Creating or approving a quote does not send an invoice. Sending a Shopify invoice is a separate explicit action after you review the buyer email and draft totals.
How do private proposal links work?
An approved quote can be shared through a private expiring link. Editing the quote invalidates its previously issued link. Share it only with the intended buyer.
Can I add more fields to the quote form?
Yes. In your Shopify theme editor, select the QuoteForth Request a quote app block. Enable company, phone, budget or needed-by fields, or enter a custom question. Answers are included in the quote's buyer note.
How do I offer price on request?
For the product template you choose, hide your theme's native Price block, then add the QuoteForth Price on request block and Request a quote form. QuoteForth never hides prices from other templates automatically.
Can I download a quote as PDF?
Open a quote in Quotes and select Download PDF summary. Approved quotes can download a priced PDF using a fresh Shopify calculation. Prices and taxes may change. Neither PDF is an invoice.
How do Flow notifications work?
Once the QuoteForth Shopify Flow trigger is published and enabled, configure a Flow workflow for QuoteForth quote approved. You can use Flow to send staff notifications. This feature requires separate setup and is not enabled automatically.
Where is my Request a Quote button?
It is a theme app block, added to the product template through the Shopify theme editor. It does not automatically appear on every product.
Why do totals change in Shopify?
The quote preview uses Shopify pricing. Shipping, taxes and currency may depend on checkout details. Verify the final draft before invoicing.
